Steps to Own a Puppy

STEPS TO OWN

STEP 1 – Complete A Puppy APplication

If you wish to reserve a puppy, please provide us a little info…tell us about yourself, other pets, and the care & environment you could provide for a Golden Retriever puppy.

This info is reviewed to consider you for approval.

You may also include info such as puppy gender preference and questions.

Please do not proceed to Step 2 before providing this info and receiving approval.

STEP 2 – PLACE A DEPOSIT

After you receive approval, a $500 deposit must be placed to reserve a puppy. You will be reserving the available “next pick” in a selected gender and litter.

Deposits are placed via Zelle, Venmo, Debit or Credit. No checks or cash accepted.

Please contact us to arrange a deposit method.​

*Deposits are non-refundable unless a circumstance arises where we can not provide you with a puppy that meets your requirements.

STEP 3 -CHOOSE YOUR PUPPY

You make your pick when the puppies are around 6 weeks of age, on a pre-determined Selection Day noted on the puppy page.

​Choosing can be done in person or online.

If you can’t come in person, individual photos and/or videos of the puppies are posted on our website for selection purposes. This is a progressing process, beginning with the 1st-pick family, then 2nd-pick and so on.  Each family is sent the link and given time to view and make a selection.  

(*VERY IMPORTANT: We strive to provide each buyer with physically healthy, socially secure and mentally acute puppy. Also, we seek to improve the quality of the breed. Therefore, in rare cases when we observe an abnormality or receive information of significance from our vet or from a test we’ve done, we reserve the right NOT to release a puppy even if the buyer has made their choice/pick. In these cases the buyer will be fully reimbursed or given the chance to pick another puppy. We sincerely hope this doesn’t happen. It is very rare.)

STEP 4 -PICK UP YOUR PUPPY

You are responsible to pick up your puppy during the pre-scheduled Pick Up Dates noted on the litter page.

This is generally scheduled on the day of their 8 week birthday through the following Sunday, depending on holidays and our schedule.  

The balance of payment is due by Puppy Pick Up

Final payments should be made in cash. 

*If you are unable to pick up your puppy we do offer escorted puppy delivery for an additional fee. This needs to be scheduled in advance and before the puppy is 9 weeks of age.

STEP 5 – PHOTOS

We kindly request that you provide photo updates of your puppy. We love to see how the pups are growing, and at times add photos to our gallery or social media. 

We love go-home, settling in, and milestone photos @ 3, 6, and 12 months old.
